Wishing you a Merry Christmas

My wish is that you will have a happy Monday and a Merry Christmas or which ever of the holidays  you celebrate at this time of the year.

An ancient Jewish sage millennia ago in his reflections asked the question, What is man? At the time his knowledge was limited to YHWH, angels and man. The Christmas story is so fascinating that today it begs that the question be asked all over, What is man?
The Christmas story set the tone for modern day thrillers. It began millennia ago with man getting into trouble with YHWH his creator because man tried to become like YHWH his creator but went about it the wrong way.
Christmas is about YHWH setting man on a  right path again by becoming a man so as to fully understand man his creation. The story does not stop here because as the story unfolds YHWH is providing the way for man to be adopted in his family and while not making man into gods he gives man the opportunity to be adopted into the family of God and by virtue of this man can become the sons of God.
The Christmas story continue to bring joy, hope and change. There is no denying the changes that occur in the lives of those who hear, understand and believe the Christmas story. It is the joy of seeing the changes in the lives of those who believe that make the Christmas story worth continuing telling.

Have a Merry Christmas.

Holiday reflections

MY wish for you is that you will have a happy Monday.

The holidays are here and it is fascinating the number of religions that commemorate significant events during the month of December. Western countries cannot escape Christmas and the joy and happiness that comes along with it.
I once heard a comment that Jesus Christ and Charles Dickens gave us Christmas. Some may find it strange that Charles Dickens should be mentioned but his book A Christmas carol seems to have inspired the giving of gifts at Christmas. It remain fascinating in the present however that Christmas is more about toys for the children, Rudolph the red nosed reindeer and Santa Claus. It is becoming more and more unpopular and politically incorrect to mention Jesus Christ. There are attempts being made to even ban the mention of Christmas.
What if the story of Jesus Christ is true? What if our pride and ignorance is making us stupid and blinding our own eyes to truth.
We are living in a time when historians will have much difficulty in recording the truth. More and more we are being fed lies as our governments are being deceived and the government in turn feed the lies that it is fed to it people. Our governments are powerful and sovereign and at most history will record them as deceivers and the truth may never be known because valuable information are destroyed to avoid the truth ever becoming known.
Christmas however is about Jesus Christ coming into this earth and living as a man. The interesting thing is that Jesus Christ is believed to have accomplished what he set out to do in approximately three and a half years. The work was carried on by those he trained and his message continues until today.
The impact and influence of the church and Christians on western societies cannot be ignored neither can history be rewritten. Western societies have the genes of the church and Christianity so it may be a good time to reflect of the reality of Christmas.
Have a happy holidays and a merry Christmas.

"It is too good to be true."

Mondays begins the week and my heart's desire is for you and I to look forward to positive outcomes during the week so my wish for you as always is that you will have a happy Monday.

There is no such thing as "It is too good to be true." Such beliefs and mindset set out to rob us of the good and positive things that will come into our lives at the very beginning. Great and unbelievable things will happen to us and for us.
It is highly improbable that we just exists because we have intelligence that causes us to plan and look toward the future. Also our world is a world of order and even if the proponents of The Evolution Theory are right then the forces that brought about the evolution process remain greater than you and I because it exerts it's influences on us. The natural assumption being that the creator is greater than the creation.
Many who expound the idea of there being a great creator short change others because their creator is only as big as their imagination or does not surpass their experiences. These people teach others to limit their creator to these views.
In reality whether we believe it or not does not diminish the reality and power of those greater than us. The evolution process cannot be that it brought into being and then abandon what it initiated. The Evolution Theory becomes a joke if it started a process and then ceased to exist somewhere along the road so this process must continue for those who believe it.
Those who believe the creation process have the creator constantly watching over and guiding events.
Whichever way you look at it embrace goodness and do not say it is too good to be true.

Standards

My wish for you as always is for you to have a Happy Monday.

Sometimes we are just plain ignorant of the fact that there are standards by which we are judged  or within which we are expected to operate in every aspect of our lives. Those persons who fall below or fail to meet those accepted standards we regard as failures. These so called failures we will have to be examine at another time. Those persons who meet and maintain the accepted standards are regarded as ordinary or normal and are readily accepted. This is the place where most persons are at  present.
There is a small percentage of persons, however, who surpasses the accepted standards and reach the highest standards set by man. These persons are revered because they reach the ultimate set by man and there is no further to go.
There is a set of standards however that is described as humanly impossible and a person does not have to be a professor, consultant or genius to achieve this that is described as humanly impossible. This is the ability given to every man to be creative because every man is subject to inspiration.
Historically many persons have been considered to be too dangerous to be allowed to live because it is known that you can imprison a man's body but not his mind and brain so the body that houses these  has to be destroyed. Your thoughts and ideas are powerful and should your desire be to enhance the well being of humanity you will be accepted.
If you see yourself maintaining the accepted standard then you are and will be like everyone else. It is okay to become the enemy of others by attempting what is considered  to be humanly impossible because others will ask, why should you be greater than us?
If you are fortunate you will live 75 years or approximately 28,000 days on this earth. Why live it in the mold cast for you by others when it is possible to reach a realm that they consider to be impossible and are beyond their aspiration?

Joy comes after pain

I recall a time in my early 20's when I visited a friend on the maternity ward of a hospital. I confess that I was totally ignorant then but do recall her saying "Never again will I have another child." I laugh at the thought now because she went on to have I do not know how many more children. This lady remind me that before experiencing joy and delight there is pain and agony.
Life is of such that we tend to be able to recall the bad things and forget the good things. In fact sometimes we are tempted to think that life is all about bad events happening. One of the good thing about life however is our ability to forget pain and hurt and move on. Many persons have realized that in clinging to hurt and seeking revenge they actually hurt more than the one on whom they seek revenge.
A glorious world of possibility lies before us and fortunately accessing those possibilities will come with pain but later we forget the pain as we relish in the pleasures of success. The joy that comes after enduring pain is not new but is the way that successful  people travel.
I encourage you to pursue your dreams in spite of the seeming obstacles that are in the way. You will discover that when you come upon the seeming obstacle it will disappear.

How far will you go?

My wish for you as always is that you will have a happy Monday.

"The man is so brilliant that it is a pity that all that knowledge shall die with him."  This statement was said of a gentleman that I knew some years ago. It keeps coming back to my mind because ever so often I am forced to listen to discussions where the main concern is "Will anyone remember me after I die."
I was amused this past week as I listened to the news cast and a businessman was mentioned with pride how disciplined and hardworking he was waking at 4:00 am and working for the entire day. I readily admit that I admire the persons that can plan every minute of their day and not deviate from the plan. Years of experience have taught me personally to have a plan but to allow for flexibility because my life is subjected to factors over which I have no control. Moreover one of my greatest joys is to be of help to my fellowman and often I put me on hold to accommodate my fellowman.
It is not a really smart thing to set out to accomplish immortality or something that will leave a lasting impact on history. Immortality is achieved by those who rise above the accepted standards of human behavior and this is possible for anyone to achieve.
Everyone has a hope, a dream, an aspiration and no one will pursue this for us but we can do it for ourselves and pursue it beyond what is perceived as the accepted human standard. It is not enough to be like other men because it is possible to rise and stand tall above other men.
In the end throughout life you will have gained a lot of knowledge but what will become of it? Will it die with you?

Changes

My wish for you as always is that you will have a happy Monday.

Recently I read an article by a gentleman that chronicled his inability to bring about sustainable changes in his life. In spite of his best efforts to change he kept reverting to the old patterns. In his distress he was appealing to his friends for help.
More than twenty years ago I was taught that a man will change when one of two things happen. Either when he is hurt enough or when he see the need for a change. Change bring pain and we all like to be pain free and remain in the place where we are comfortable. Changes also requires us to sustain the change otherwise we will return to our natural inclinations.
When we consider making changes we should also consider working with our natural inclination. I am aware that some person who read this may not be inclined towards Christian teachings but I think it may be helpful here to mention the Bible.
The Bible present the highest being as God and his desire is to shape and mold man to be like him. When a man comes into contact with God the changes are brought about by God using what already exist in the man by refocusing the man.
There are too many of us who want to change and undo the person that we are when in reality what we really need is a change of focus.
