If we never try we will never know
There are many persons that still harbor the thoughts of
life not being fair because they have not had life in her golden slippers or
their life have not been on the proverbial golden platter.
The dream is, if I could change my situation or circumstances, then I will be happy and my life will be like the ending of fairy tales and they lived happily afterwards.
The truth is that most persons were prepared for life by their parents. Some
parents never say no to a request from a child and some children learn early
never to make a request from their parents. Even when children exceed the achievements of their parent the children were taught to reason by the parents.
It is common for the affluent to be envied by the not so
affluent and for the not so affluent to envy the lifestyle of the affluent. It
is even thought that affluent persons live lives that are stress free. Some wealthy
parents are at present faced with the option of what to do for their children.
One option is to set up trust fund to ensure that their children never runs out of
money. Another option is to force their children to go out and create their own
wealth. Many parents recognize that children often do not build on the wealth that they inherit.
In our present world the majority of people fall into the
category of middle class lower class or poor. The poor is the group that is bound
by the chains that say you will never be great or be able to change your circumstances. This group is taught that their
life’s greatest aspiration is to reach a point of being comfortable.
There is told the stories of animals that are captured when
young and pain is inflected to these animals during training to the point where
pain is associated with disobedience. There are many parents that grow their
children use similar methods. This inhibits the children in their willingness
to explore, take risks and take on new ventures. Parents pass on how they were grown to their children.
At present we are living in a world where through the
internet the world have become a global community. We get things done and
communicate in real time but there are too many person who are not yet coming
to grip with the present reality. The internet came into existence when some were already out of school and some are yet to grasp the possibility that are being presented through the internet.
The time is ripe for us to begin thinking big. Our world will not be
problem free or stress free. If our aspirations are small there will be
stresses and problems. If we change our places of residences, our spouses,
our jobs or whatever we will still be subjected to stress. The thing to do then
is to set our sights on the greatest of our dreams. We will have stresses so
why be bother be stressed over the little things. Since we will have problems and be
stressed in life then it may as well be over something great, noble and worth achieving.
There are too many person who have been coerced into
maintaining the standards of being mediocre. There are too much abilities waiting
to released but have been trapped into being mediocre. There are too many
persons that have been punished for having a desire to succeed. There are too
many persons that believe that there is no way to move up. It is time for all this to change but it is the individual person who have to change their mindset.
The great thing in life is that there are more possibilities
and avenues available than before. There are now endless means to get
discovered and for many it will only takes the effort of beginning pursuing that little thought, idea or secret dream.
There are many of us that life will not hand much but every
one of us is subjected to inspiration, that desire to be creative. Every one of
us have a vision of what we would like to do, be or to become. It will remain
impossible as long as we refuse to try or make the effort to do something.
One of the great things about life is that none of us knows
the extent of our potential. It is only after we have begun and other resources
are needed that our potential will release what is needed. If we never try we
will never know.

My take on Easter celebrations
My wish as always is for you to have a Happy Monday.
This week Christians all around the world will celebrate the most sacred of Christian beliefs when they celebrate Good Friday and Easter Sunday. My hope is that if you are
a Christian it will truly be a time of reflection and if you are not a
Christian it may not necessarily do harm to examine the origin of these
celebrations.
In 2010 it was estimated that approximately 2.2 billion or 1/3
of the earth’s population were adherents of the Christian religion. This will guarantee that there will be millions all around the world celebrating Easter.
There are many persons who are quick to point out the
failures, shortcomings and faults of the church and the Christian religion but
this should not cloud the facts behind the truths of the Christian religion if
they exists. This is especially so in the western world where it is impossible
to study the history of the western world without facing the facts of the part played by the church and
Christianity.
There are under the umbrella of Christianity some groups
which reject the celebration of Easter by citing the fact that Easter originated
as a pagan festival. There are some persons who readily and rightfully point
out that Friday afternoon to Sunday morning does not effectively cover the
three days and three nights that Jesus was supposed to have spent in the grave.
There are also those who point out that Easter is not mentioned in the Bible
and the Bible does not command its celebration. All of these arguments
exist and more.
There are many Christians who fall under the banner of
Protestantism that although they are anti Roman Catholic they embrace the celebration of
Christmas and Easter citing that these celebrations are for everyone.
The Gregorian calendar which is presently internationally used is
the Roman Catholic calendar and central to this calendar is the birth of Jesus
Christ. Although CE and BCE are used to replace AD and BC there are questions
which remain which should be answered among which are, has the Roman Catholic Church
been pulling a hoax on humanity for more than fifteen hundred years? Did a man name Jesus
walk this earth and had so much impact so as to be the turning point of
history? The questions continue and are numerous but this week we who are
Christians will celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth who
was declared to be the son of God and the Jewish messiah or Christ.
The celebration of Easter is a celebration of hope for Christians because
although Jesus is presented as rebel whom the Jewish religious leaders had the
Roman authorities execute, it was to fulfill the plans and purposes of God.
Jesus is presented as suffering a form of execution invented by Semiramis
the wife of Nimrod the builder of the tower of Babel and at the time Jesus was
executed it was the cruelest and most degrading form of punishment. Jesus did not
remain dead but by his own power came back from the dead and this is what is
celebrated at Easter.
Easter celebrations makes life worth living because Jesus' death is presented as the way to being in a right relationship with God. Jesus
is presented as paying the price God required for the sins of man and all who believe this
is regarded by God as being righteous. Being righteous in the sight of God means that at death the
believer in Jesus soul goes to heaven where Jesus is to await a future time
when body and soul will again be reunited.
The belief system may be warped and disputes may arise but
the Christian calendar, the church and the celebration of Easter look back to
an event that some will ignore, some will dispute and some will deny.
Have a happy Easter.

Showcase your best
There are many conveniences that are taken for granted today because
they have become indispensable conveniences to present day life. At the same
time there are many individuals belonging to the older generation that continue the traditional old ways because they refuse to adopt to changes.
This comes about because there are many of today’s
conveniences that are relatively new if we were to take anything that has been
developed in the last 100 years as being modern in comparison to history. The
true assessment of the benefits of these modern invention rests with the elders
who experienced the past and are alive now to enjoy the benefits of the new.
Computers, the internet, the World Wide Web, cellphones etc. are
all relatively modern inventions that have changed our world and are blazing
the path into the future. The study of Information Technology as a discipline
is relatively new and the concepts are still changing rapidly. In its infancy some
individuals caught on to the fact that Information Technology was the way
forward into the future and immediately jumped on board. There were some
persons that only came on board when forced by circumstances and there are
those who refuse to learn Information Technology.
Although the inventions are relatively new they have been
around long enough to be spawning a second generation. The first generation saw
the inventions, the second generation applied the inventions and the third
generation are now asking how the previous generations existed without these inventions and conveniences.
There may the possibility of a down side to the modern inventions
but who cares, these are the things that will be guiding us into the future.
I was late in getting on the technology band wagon and even now the things that are juicy and exciting I find to be boring. This is especially as it pertain to making use of some modern inventions and social media. Why individual find it necessary to record and leave traces of everything that they do is beyond me especially as this include recording and posting their most intimate and private moments. Some are stored in cyberspace.
The internet and World Wide Web are good and exciting. They give the chance to move from a circle of family and friends to engaging a global audience. However, I believe that most persons are comparable to me in that I am very forgetful. The things posted on the internet I believe does not get erased but remain for those when has the time and know how to find.
It baffles me as to why some persons choose to post somethings for a global audience. Yes I agree that a person has the freedom to be and to do as one pleases but life and circumstances changes so why not be selective in what we share with a global audience. The problem is not the audience but the possibility that at a later date and time we encounter earlier posts and ask was I really that stupid.
One of the benefits of the internet is meeting persons online. When I meet someone new online I simply look up their social media pages because the heights of vanity demands that we share. It is most fascinating the things that are posted on social media and for a global audience.
Whether we like it or not there are noble things in life and there are the things that are base. I find that some individuals choose to hide behind false name and cannot show their photographs. Others are confident and bold in the things that are posted.
There are options as to who we allow to see our posts and most individual chose to make their posts global. this allows for the widest possible audience. This being the case it is not wise to display one's lack of taste or show how little is cared about those who will see or read.
Presently the internet provide the greatest opportunity to engage a global audience so take the opportunity to showcase your best.

The question no one want to answer.
It may be a bit bizarre to write about death because while most of us accept that we will eventually die we do not want to talk, think or prepare for this eventuality. From time to time the question is asked on social media, What happens after death? I believe that there are many persons who are seeking an honest and truthful answer to this question.
Everyone knows that eventually we will either become food for the worms or be the contents of an urn. These realities, however, short changes life if it is the ultimate end of mankind. The seekers who are asking the question are clearly seeking answers because there is the belief that life does not end with death. There are many who are quick to point out that there is no proof to contradict that everything does not end at death.
Religion offers possible answers to this question and the answers provided by religious practitioners covers a wide spectrum. There is the belief that death is final and everything ends at death. There is the belief in reincarnation which essentially is that the man will return to live in another form. The monotheistic religions teaches that life continues in another realm and this may possibly be in bliss and utopia or in torment.
My personal take, as a Christian, on life after death I have written in two books (The God Fighters & The God Alternatives. available http://www.amazon.com/Mr-Prince-W.-Bradford/e/B00GM5OKR6).
Religion in itself is so bizarre that one commentator noted that the first murder that we have on record was over religion and that religion will be the cause of the last murder to be committed in the future.
Last December was probably the worst of Decembers in my life so far because I had to deal with the death of a number of close relatives. These were not person who had endured prolonged sicknesses, were in pain, were patients in hospitals or hospice or had allowed relatives to gather around to say goodbye. Their deaths were sudden and in one case violent.
I must take note of the answers given to the question on social media, What happens after death? For the most part the answer given was nothing or no one knows. This answer was rather comforting knowing that seven billion of us are alive on the earth and if we live we shall all die and if we don't live then we are dead but no one can say for sure what will happen after death. The smarter persons commented that no one has ever return to tell. That answer may also true.
There was one group of persons who were particularly silent and those were the born again, Holy Ghost filled, saved and sanctified Christians. There is never a good answer to forward to mockers and skeptics but for some reason Christians are fearful of declaring their belief in heaven.
Modern science is relatively new when compared with religion which has been in existence for millennia. Modern science cannot measure the concepts that exist in the mind because science is about giving a possible explanation for what exist and possibly how it originated. Religion is based on a system of beliefs.
It will be interesting to learn when science finally provide a possible answer to the question, what happens after death? This will also provide a possible answer as to what purpose does life serve. There are persons who have devoted their lives to poverty and in the service of mankind. There are those persons who have expressed the desire to experience every pleasure and the best that can be experienced in life. All will come to an end at death but will that be the end?

What happens after#Death?
This question was posed on another social media site. The writer indicated that he seriously sought an answer to the question. The writer also indicated that he sough an answer that went beyond the obvious, that is, being placed in a casket and buried or given to the crematorium fire and the ashes being placed in an urn. Does man really have a soul and spirit?
The answers to the question were many and ranged from, I don't know, I don't care and share the answer with me when you get it. No one gave a definitive answer. Everyone knows that no one comes back from the dead to give a report.
I recommended to the writer of the question the reading two books I wrote addressing the subject #The God Fighters (Religion, Confusion and Restoration) and #The God Alternatives (Religion, Evolution and Man).
A patient chose death rather than have a surgical procedure that could possibly prolong his life. This decision was based on the religious teachings that he received. Was this patient being a martyr? Was it an act of faith? Or was this suicide? #The God Fighters explore the Bible view of man and look at what the Bible says happens after death.
There are at least two aspects to man as demonstrated by asking a husband to describe his wife to an audience. The wife will not be charmed if her husband proceed to describe her physical attributes and say things the audience could see (her physical appearance). She wants her husband to describe the characteristics that makes her the best wife in the universe. It is obvious that man is both physical and mental (spiritual).
#The God Alternatives explores both the physical and mental (spiritual) aspects of man because evolution provides an answer to the physical aspects of man but fails to answer the spiritual aspects of man. The Bible answers both the question of the physical and spiritual aspects of man.
