On trying to make sense of life

When I was in my twenties I felt that I could take on the whole world and still had energy remaining when I was through. I set goals and enjoyed working toward and achieving the goals. This was the time of my life when a goal achieved brought joy and reasons for celebrations. As I grow older the goals that i set for myself became more challenging and when a goal was finally accomplished it brought no joy or even a sense of relief because by the time that the goal was accomplished I was exhausted from being drained mentally, physically and emotionally.

This did not remove the challenge of taking on the setting of the next goal because being active opened up endless possibilities. As my life progresses the goals that I set now are more that of setting objectives and/or pursuing dreams because the challenges involves in achieving goals while pursuing my dreams requires my dealing with circumstances and situations which are outside of my control. These  also involves my dealing with seemingly insurmountable mountains that stand in my way and I need must find the way over, around or through these mountains.

One of the great advantages that I had in life was growing up with parents who were always active and planning the next big move. I was taught their outlook and principles of life before I understood what was happening to me. Now I realize that I cannot unlearn what I was taught by my parents (I have no desire to unlearn these principles and practices). This is why I look on life and pursue the things which require patience and accept that things will not happen or change overnight. In life just like in other fields time must be allowed for growth and bearing fruit.

An alternative to what I was taught by my parents is what is now and has been for some time portrayed on a television screen. It is a known thing that whatever the mind is constantly fed will also influence the actions, thoughts and behavior. It is only the best that is presented on the television screen and there are too many persons that do not realize this or are blissfully unaware. Television scenes are shot many times and edited until the perfect scene or episode is had while in life we have to make snap decisions and we get only one chance. Television encourages aspiration after wealth, fame and beauty as the ultimate in life. Unfortunately those of us who watch television don't have money and will have to settle for the not so good looking person who show an interest in us.

The great disappointment about television characters and heroes is that at some point in life we come to realize that in spite of the looks, fame and money, the television personalities are most times worse off than us. The question then arise as to what to do when the very people we were taught to look up to and aspire to be like are in reality worse off than we are.

I am often encouraged to watch a movie and the virtue of the stars are highlighted. Now I ask who should get the credit, the actor or the director? I often heat television characters quoted but now I ask if  the quote should not really be attributed to the script writer? How do we deal with the bravery and daring of television star when we learn that the feat were performed by stuntmen and we were tricked into believing that it was the television star?

Life is designed of such that at some point in our life we will ask ourselves these questions among others, where did I originate? What is my destiny? Am I fulfilling my destiny? What does the future hold for me? What will happen when I die?

Life is very comforting in that all of us know that eventually we shall die but we do not know how, when or where it will happen. There is a program on television that uses the words "There are so many ways to die that it is a wonder that we are alive." This sums up life beautifully.

Religion is supposed to answer the question as to what happens after we die and give a purpose as to why we are alive but in recent times I have been left with my doubts because the Christian religion has two extremes. On the one hand there are the Evangelical millionaires pastors who has so much money that they cannot spend it all but they will not help their followers so they pursue vanity and pleasure. At the other extreme are the Roman Catholic priests who have taken a vow of poverty and have devoted their lives to serve humanity. In between these two extremes of religious leaders falls the others priests and pastors.

I have been inside a Roman Catholic Church only once and that was attending a funeral and I now accept that I should not be critical in my ignorance. One of the problems that Protestants had with the Roman Catholic Church was that the Protestants believed that God should be worshiped according to the dictates of the heart. I cannot find anything to support this in the Bible but maybe it is because I have not spent enough time looking. This cuts against the rituals and customs practiced by the Roman Catholic Church. This becomes somewhat tricky because the New Testament does not gives specifics as to how worship should be carried out in the church.

When I lived in Jamaica I often heard evangelicals saying that the Roman Catholic Church was wrong so I accepted it and went along. (I also use to hear in the evangelical church that women should not wear pants and lipsticks and I believed until I met, hugged and kissed  a young woman that wore lipstick and pants). The pastors that I had for a time convinced me that they were called of God to be ministers of the gospel and many of them were good guys. I later in life encountered a group of ministers of the gospel who after dealing with I am still to regain respect for ministers of the gospel. In fact I can tolerate the wicked and the ungodly because I sometimes think that they fall a little above that particular set of ministers of the gospel minus two or three.

I am now living in the US and for me there is a problem that sooner or later I must resolve. Here is my problem, the Roman Catholic Church has more than a thousand years of traditions and teaching to back up their belief system. I attend a Baptist church and Baptists believe that the church is autonomous and this essentially leaves me to worship God as the pastor feel that it should go. My problem is this should I really discover more about what I was told is wrong but is backed by centuries of teaching and tradition or should I continue following the Baptist which is essentially following the dictates of the pastor's heart?

Historically the church including the Roman Catholics have produced some brilliant scholars and examples, perhaps religion could do with some of these individuals to give validity to religion once again.

Cheers for smart parents

"Which came first, the chicken or the egg?" is a question which have been around for millennia. Philosophers contended that at some point in time the hen must have appeared to lay the first egg but scientists content that both have always been in existence because the idea of a hen that did not come from an egg was preposterous.

The question have finally been answered because I read about a month or so ago that scientists have accepted that there must have been the first hen to lay the first egg.

I always knew that the hen must have appeared before the first egg because my parents were the smartest people in the whole world. Their outlook on life was taught to me before I was sensible enough to reject it and now what I was taught by my parents when I was young continue to guide my life. I believe every one know the source of my parents knowledge especially because both read very little.

On the subject of whether it was the hen or the chicken that first appeared, my father would have noted that the hen was free to go ahead and lay as many eggs as she felt pleased but if there was no rooster around then there would be no chicken forthcoming from the eggs. That was unless the chicken had a way to produce a chick from an egg until the rooster came along and the hen discovered that sharing the task with the rooster was even nicer. If we should now bring the rooster into the whole scenario then the argument becomes even more ridiculous because the question need to be asked how did the rooster reproduce before the hen came along to make things easier for the rooster by laying an egg.

Scientists have solved the millennia old question so maybe now they can proceed to find proof of the existence of the Deities. The question of the existence of the Deities cannot be touched without bringing up the subject of religion and that is a very touchy subject. Religion accepts that there are superior beings who control and exert their influence over the affairs of mankind. However, there are many persons who take the escape route by declaring that they are without knowledge of the existence of the Deities. This is nothing new because ever since time began, even in the presence of overwhelming evidence there were those who rejected the Deities.

These people who  are without knowledge of the existence of the Deities should have met my smart parents because my parents believed that they were special to the Deities so they relied on the Deities for provision. I saw my parents do the craziest things because of their confidence in the Deities and credited their success to the Deities. This is why those persons who now mock my belief in the Deities are wasting their time because my smart parents taught me through example. I have learned well from my parents and what they taught me is working so I don't see why I should try something that others recommend especially as these alternates does not work.

The Deities clearly exists so now the scientists can concentrate on providing the truth and proof of their existence. There still remain the problem that many who are seeking scientific proof of the existence of the deities only knows how to parrot the arguments of detractors. These persons who cannot master the simple things that they are shown want to be taught advanced knowledge of science. They are so strong and powerful that they go as far as issuing challenges to the Deities.

Religion gives some possible answers but a past generation of parents were so busy making money that they allowed the television to grow their children. The television industry was about making money and was not focused on morality so now the present generation knows nothing about the Deities. The difference now lies in that the heroes that these people know comes from the television screen but those who embrace religion are exposed to a different set of heroes. Now television heroes are quoted for inspiration when the credit should really go to the script writer. The feats of these television heroes are commended when the commendation should really go to the film director. The present generation of heroes are sham.

There are some other questions that the scientist could probably solve because there are many persons who are still wondering, how did come into existence? and, what purpose do I serve on the earth? Why was i born. These are really serious concern especially because at some point in time everyone look beyond the obvious. The belief in the Deities partially helps because procreating may be an enjoyable exercise but it is sad to learn that a person is the result of parents enjoying some good times and it ends there. Or maybe they came into existence as the result of some careless moment on the part of the parents. The answer to these questions would be nice if scientist give a similar answer to the chicken and eggs question. As I have previously said my parents were the smartest parents and they would have used common sense logic to answer these question. The scientist after conduction their experiments and using language that no one but the most brilliant understand will eventually agree with the simple common sense logic of my parents.

Those persons who are educated are able to focus on career and making money as answers to why am I here? What purpose do I serve in life? The less than educated are not coping very well in their middle age and  there are too many that are taking the easy way out.  The have no answer to , why am I here, how did I come into existence? What purpose does my life serve? Hopelessness and despair drive Some of the people abuse drugs and alcohol in order to deaden the hopelessness. Those people who embrace the belief in the  Deities look for rewards in the great beyond and therefore focus their lives on storing up riches for when they get to the other side. Some people say that they want what can be seen now because  they are not giving up what is certain for the uncertain. Those people who are storing up riches for the great beyond  do make life a little better for those with whom they come into contact. Then again my parents were the smartest parents and they believed  that enough money should be stashed away so that when they say goodbye burial would not be a burden to anyone. That when it taken care of then share what you have with others because it is one route to happiness.

It is time to put up or shut up

My wish is for you to have a Happy Monday

If we are to accept the findings of science then our ancestors has been on the earth for some 6 million years and man the modern human form evolved some 200,00 years ago and civilization as we know it is only 6000 years old. This may partially explain why man has survived and not self destruct a long time ago. (The idea that civilization as we know it is only 6000 years old is in line with the creationist teachings of Judaeo/Christian religion.)

Creationist and science agree that modern civilization is approximately 6000 years old so it is reasonable to assume that after approximately 6000 years of existence, humanity should possibly have worked out a formula for survival, peaceful coexistence and how to share the earth's resources. However, after 6000 years of civilization as we know it and with different nations at times dominating the earth humanity, is awaiting an excuse to self destruct.

One of the driving forces in humanity is the need to dominate, a need which is powered by the hormones androgen and testosterone in the males. The females often desire to lord it over the males but it is unsure as what hormones power their desires to do so. There are other females which use a more effective means to control the males and the world knows that governments and policies are directed and manipulated from the bedrooms. It becomes dangerous to have a man in charge of government who does not have the calming influence from the bedroom. it is known that women are more sensible and practical than men. Maybe this is why humanity have survived this long.

Science tell us that modern human evolve from an ancestor that is somewhat close to an ape. This may explain the need for the alpha male although the alpha male need powerful friends to keep him at the top and there are those who are ever ready to topple the alpha male. Humanity have discovered that in order to have a civilized society then there is the need for leadership and government. We cannot afford a world of alpha males with no alpha females to exert their calming influences.

Leadership styles differ and it may be difficult to establish which leadership style is most effective  or the best because ultimately the desired results are achieved. The same thing can be said of the various forms of government because it is a fool that practices a form of government while declaring that another form of of government is better. The end result of government hopefully is that those governed are happy but it is also true that for some individual it is being at the top irrespective of what others think.

After 6000 years of civilization as we know it humanity should have worked out how to get along in terms of government, race and religion among other things. It is time for humanity not to allow diversity to cause death and destruction because these three poses some of the greatest threat to the survival of humanity. It is ridiculous that the other party is seen as a threat and must be destroyed because he pursues a different form of government, is of a different race or practices a different form of religion.

Pride and testosterone are a dangerous combination in males and the most aggressive and belligerent often dominate on the one hand. On the other hand the man who is most evil and crafty may exercise power over others. It is the desire to be the alpha male which make one nation desire to force its beliefs systems, ideologies and forms of government on another nation. If a close look be taken at the past twenty years it will be found that the so-called dominant nations that have sought to punish and overthrown other governments have been guilty of worse atrocities than those they seek to punish.

Religion is a reality in our world and Hinduism, Islam and Christianity are practiced by more than half the population of the earth. Buddhism with it 500 million adherents is worthy of note and there are many other religious beliefs. It would be amiss not to mention Judaism which could effectively  be described as the mother of both Christianity and Islam. The idea behind religion is that there is a supreme being that directs and controls the destiny of humans. Religion for the most part does not encourage peaceful co-existence but demands becoming a convert to the religion or be destroyed. Islam, Christianity and Judaism awaits the messiah who shall destroy all unbelievers and their religion be the only and ascending religion.

Science does not adequately explain how the various races evolved or how the continents and islands got inhabited. There are tribes in the Amazon Basin  of South America and possibly other areas that it is illegal for outsiders to contact. These tribes are people who have survived and continue to survive in primitive conditions for thousand of years. Who knows if there are other people to whom they consider themselves superior. There have been the rise and fall of nations and peoples over the course of the 6000 years of civilization as we know it. It is in the DNA of man to make war and to conquer to establish superiority. What is it that makes one race superior to the other? The answer lies with the standards set by man. Science agree that humans have a common ancestor but as noted there is no records as to how the various races evolved or how they got to the land areas that they have occupied. One of the big issues in terms of superiority of race race is the need for persons of Caucasian descent to prove superiority to the person of African descent. This have lead to persons of Caucasian descent desiring to be rid of persons of African descent because the competition becomes unfair. What the person of Caucasian descent have accumulated and achieved over a period of a hundred years the person of African descent accomplishes in one sitting. The Caucasian chose to level the playing field in terms of education opportunities and continue to regret such a decision because the Africans are outshining the Caucasian. The brilliance of the persons of Indian, Chinese and Japanese are accepted  but because the Africans were subjected to being plundered, enslaved and robbed by greedy Europeans and people of Caucasian  descent. The African surpasses the ideal of what the person of Caucasian descent desire to be and this is why persons of Caucasian descent claim superiority by virtue of skin color.

Maybe the time has come to put all to the test and put an end to debating. Each government, religion and race could get the universe to set the standards then have a test to see which is the best form of government, which religion is the best and which race is superior. This competition should be open to all form of government, every religion and have every race represented.

have a happy week.

2017 and going so quickly

I often mention that my parents were farmers and before I understood or knew why, I was taught the basics of planting crops and also of rearing animals. These principles that were taught to me by my parents have remained with me and although I now spend a considerable amount of my time writing I believe that my father would be proud to see me writing (he would prefer to see me writing academic books) and my mother would have enjoyed sitting a reading my books to him. (My books can be found http://www.amazon.com/Mr-Prince-W.-Bradford/e/B00GM5OKR6). 2017 is here and once more i must reflect on the principles of farming.

2017 appear to have taken wings and like myself there are many of us who wonder if the days actually passes more quickly or if it is simply a case that because we are older the days appear to pass more quickly. 2017 in some ways are just a continuation of the process that were occurring at the end of 2016 because there were no stopping at the end of 2016 but things continued as the same into 2017. there was however the opportunity to have a change of attitude in 2017. Attitudes don't change overnight and when changes occur if the new attitudes are not practiced until they becomes habitual then there will be a reversion to the old ways.

It is good if we sometimes approach life in a manner similar to how businesses operate. One of the first things that could probably be done at this time is doing an audit of 2016. Life demands that there were successes and failures during 2016. Those persons who did not experience any failure in 2016 either did not attempt anything or did not take on a sufficiently difficult challenge. Those who experienced no success did not attempt enough challenges because in principle not everything that is attempted will fail. In a way comparable to goods in a business there will be stocks that need to be disposed in order to make way for new stocks. Life is not static but rather dynamic and it becomes necessary to adjust to the changing times. in some respect it is either that we adjust to the changing times or get left behind. Loss occur often by not keeping pace with changing dynamics.

At this the beginning of 2017 it is great to do forward planning because forward planning is comparable to a mining company exploring for deposit of ore so as never to run out of resources. It is a known fact that you can either wait on opportunity or you can create your opportunity. In making plans for 2017 we are simply setting goals that we would like to achieve during the course of the year. It is true that there will be circumstance and factors that are outside of our control but if no plans are mad thenit should not be surprising when at the end of 2017 there is very little or nothing to show as an accomplishment.

As the year 2017 progress, however, there should always be a vigilance to capitalize on the unexpected. There will be situations and circumstances that offer great potential benefits that are not the results of our labors and efforts. When we recognize that life all around have fertile soil for our thoughts and ideas  to grow and flourish then we will also know that in the circumstances that we will encounter in 2017 there will be an abundance of possibilities.

In our stores and supermarkets we often get the end products to buy. It is true that the merchant often make more for the end product that the farmer who actually produce the product. The consumer is the one who pays for the product and the farmer when he is a consumer naturally pays more for the end product that he was paid for his produce. The reality of life is that we are either consumers or producers.

There are basically three crops that are planted by farmers. Mainly, cash crops, medium term crops and permanent crops. All these crops have their values and in 2017 we can like farmers focus on different aspects of our plans. The man who plants cash crops will always have cash but also must at all time be planting. The man who plants permanent crops will have to wait many years to enjoy any fruit but the man who plants permanent crops after a time the crops need little attention and after a time the farmer can look forward to annual crops and minimum maintenance .

I hope 2017 will be a year of great rewards for you.

Of this, that and the hoidays

May I take the opportunity to wish for Christians a merry Christmas and a happy Hanukkah for those of the Jewish faith and also Happy Kwanzaa for those  African Americans who are celebrating their African Heritage and traditional values.

It is easy to assume that our religious beliefs makes us superior and this is reason enough to look down on the religious beliefs and traditions of other people. On the other hand it is obvious that there are many persons who does not observe the religious festivals that take place at this time of the year and so they classify the celebrants as being illiterate and ignorant.

The month of December is fascinating because the Jewish and Christian celebrations that take place in this month are determined by some people to be based on fairy tales and legends. It remain fascinating that the very stories that are being denied, these deniers cannot prove to be not true.

I only recently heard about Kwanzaa and I am not in a position to say anything about the desire by African Americans to celebrate their African heritage and traditional values. I am sure, however, that the heritage and traditional values of ancient Africa have been diluted because the traditions that existed in Africa 500 years ago have certainly been subjected to changes and modifications. Technology and modernization will have rendered many ancient traditions of Africa obsolete.

At the same time keeping the African heritage and traditional values alive may not be as silly an idea as it may appear to some. We who are of African descent and heritage could learn a lesson from the persons of Jewish descent. The Jews are celebrating, Hanukkah, the cleansing of the second temple after it had been desecrated. Historians and Jews maintained that a miracle happened then and remembering the miraculous events are a part of the celebrations. For centuries Jews anticipated a time when they would hold their religious  festivals in Palestine and finally their dreams have become realities. Those of us who are of African descent may one day have to face the reality that we may have to return to the motherland Africa. The motherland Africa may one day have to face the fact that one day she may have to welcome home and accommodate her children of the Diaspora.

The Christians celebrations of Christmas presents sometimes interesting discussions. Many Protestants take pleasure in denouncing the Roman Catholic Church as being wrong in doctrine and teachings. I once asked a fellow Christian, "If the Roman Catholic Church is as bad as you claim, why do you celebrate Christmas? After all we did get Christmas from the Roman Catholic Church." His response, "Some things are for every Christian and not just the Roman Catholic Church." There are other Christian groups that are quick to point out that there are no commands in the New Testament to keep any day holy or the appointment of any festivals for Christians and so these groups reject every Christian religious festival?celebrations.

One of the things that have generated much debate over the years is the fact that December 25th is celebrated as the birthday of Jesus Christ. Christians continue to take a lot of bashing because they cannot explain this date. There are many critics who are quick to point out that shepherds would not be in the fields in winter and others understanding is of such that they do not comprehend that the weather is not the same everywhere at the same time around the globe.  In years gone by knowledge was limited and many persons who possessed the faith but not the knowledge proclaimed the Christmas message. The information about Christmas can be easily accessed by those who oppose celebrating Christmas and those who celebrate Christmas.

The first recorded date of Christmas being celebrated on December 25th was in 336, during the time of the Roman Emperor Constantine (he was the first Christian Roman Emperor). A few years later, Pope Julius I officially declared that the birth of Jesus would be celebrated on the 25th December (Copied)
The most loudly touted theory about the origins of the Christmas date(s) is that it was borrowed from pagan celebrations. The Romans had their mid-winter Saturnalia festival in late December; barbarian peoples of northern and Western Europe kept holidays at similar times. To top it off, in 274 C.E., the Roman emperor Aurelian established a feast of the birth of Sol Invictus (the Unconquered Sun), on December 25. Christmas, the argument goes, is really a spin-off from these pagan solar festivals. According to this theory, early Christians deliberately chose these dates to encourage the spread of Christmas and Christianity throughout the Roman world: If Christmas looked like a pagan holiday, more pagans would be open to both the holiday and the God whose birth it celebrated. (Copied)

One of the dangers in our modern world is to deliberately dismiss the Jewish festival of Hanukkah and the Christian celebration of Christmas as just myths and legends. The reality is that there was a temple in Jerusalem and the fact that the time of his birth was unsure does not any less make Jesus Christ real.

As a person of African descent Kwanzaa is celebrated in the US and we in Jamaica had our ways of keeping our African heritage and traditional values alive. My ignorance of Kwanzaa is of relatively little value. Keeping the African heritage and cultural values alive in the US may or may not be of lasting value

The celebration of the re-dedication of the second temple in Jerusalem and the attending miracle speak to the fact that God is real and provides the proof also that he is concerned about his holiness. Christianity hinges on the fact of the reality of the God of the Jews. The fact that the God of the Jews is alive and real exposes the world to the dangers of ignoring this God.

The celebration of Christmas is about God intervening in the affairs of mankind. It is celebrating the fact that God cares so much about man that he became a man and experienced what it is to be a man. It is being cognizant of the reality that man is so valuable to God that God voluntarily for a time gave up being God in order to bring man back to himself. It becomes scary for man to mock and ridicule God for doing so by insulting and maligning this God.

It is a common concept that no one knows what happens at death so it is okay to ignore, mock and ridicule the Christmas story when in reality the Christmas story is actually preparation for what happens at death. It is the Christmas story which gives life a sense of meaning and which makes life worth living.

"Belief is a wise wager. Granted that faith cannot be proved, what harm will come if you gamble on its truth and it prove false? i you gain , you gain all; If you lose, you lose nothing. Wager then ....."
                                                                                                                             Blaise Pascal

Have a Merry Christmas.

Class and Crass

After 340 years of independence  the United States of America has realized that all its advancements and achievements have very little value and there is now a desire to return to the values held by Europe. The very things that were thrown off and abandoned in order to sever ties with Europe more than three hundred years ago are the very things that the US now realize make the difference between class and crass. This is being borne out through the results of the 2016 US presidential elections. There continues to be a cry "We want to be white again". It is quite convenient to ignore and deny the historical records.

This is not as strange  a phenomena as it may seem because children have a tendency to adopt the values taught by their parents. The US experiment of abandoning the values of Europe have not worked and one only has to look at how the US is fascinated with things British, French and Italian to find the  proof. The values that have been embrace by the US are lacking in substance and lasting effect and these are the things now that the US is seeking. It is time which validate value and permanency but the US is designed to keep the industries going so nothing is built to last. The US is finally learning the lesson that quality supersedes quantity because it abandoned the notion of quality and permanence.

Many centuries ago the Romans empire conquered the Greeks and then discovered that in comparison to the Greeks they as Romans were  boorish. The Greeks were learned, had class and culture and aspired after the finer things in life while the only thing that the Roman empire  had going for it was its military might and prowess. The Romans saw in the Greek the noble traits and qualities that they desired in their children and many Romans citizens had Greek slaves teaching their children how to be classy and have sophistication. It is not by accident that the  Greek  language, learning, philosophy, arts and culture have survived to the present while one of the few things that have survived from the Roman empire is the Olympic games. It has always been known that brains is superior to brawn.

In the US there are many that did not change with the changing times and were left clinging to memories of the "so called good old days". These persons conveniently  forgot that America's wealth was forged through the labor, blood sweat and tears of African slaves. A people dehumanized because they embodied the very qualities that other races envied. The descendants of these slaves continue to be hated and are the scape-goat for those left behind by progress. It is conveniently forgotten that the Africans were enslaved because of their strength. The descendants of these Africans slaves have courage and hardiness in their genes. The fear of many are that with his already superior strength when the playing field is leveled then others will be at a disadvantage because these descendants of former slaves have demonstrated that they not only have superior strength but they are also just as intelligent and brilliant as other ethnic groups. This [laces the descendants of the  former slaves above all other ethnic groups.

The 2016 US presidential election  provided the ideal conditions for a message to be proclaimed that there will be a return to the past or at best this is the hope of some persons. This was at a time when progress was being made into the future. The message embraced was riddance of minorities and those who are different so that once more there will  be a super race. The real problem being that some persons whenever the look at an African American see who he would like to be but lacking in the necessary qualities. The need to prove that you are superior simply means that you are not superior.

Let us forget for a moment the Native Americans who the Europeans found occupying the land and the treaties that the US signed with Mexico and consider the ignoramus. These ignoramus are seeking a return to the past when they need to be retrained for the future. The jobs they once had are now being done by robots. Their jobs have been replaced by technological advancement. However these ignoramus desire to see the heyday of the past. The ignoramus continue gloating and basking  in their ignorance while their inferiors are keeping pace with the advancement into the future.

It was not only the ignoramus that got a glimmer of hope for the future in the 2016 presidential elections because there were many of the educated and elite females who saw a glimmer of hope for the future. It was a glimmer of hope that civility, class and culture may return because if certain classes and groups no longer existed then once more there may happen to appear a semblance of what is in Europe. For these females there was glimmer of a chance to not be seen as a woman but hopefully get a chance to be feminine. The US society long ago rejected feminism and embraced womanhood and now desire to blame other ethnic groups for the lack of opportunity to display femininity. The present culture makes life even worse for these women because not only are they denied being feminine but they are being relegated to being gender neutral.

It remain a pity for the focus was on I and me and  and not we. Quite often it is said if I ever get the chance but no one foresee the headaches that accompany opportunity. The philosophies that were embraced in the early days as being high and noble are now being realize to be equated to cattle let loose in a field to graze.
